Pros

DCSC is located on "The Hill" in Saint Louis. It is in a very nice neighborhood that I walk regularly on my lunch break. There are several Italian sandwich shops that I stop at and eat. The owner of the company has a lunch and little birthday party in the breakroom for each employee. There are several employees that have worked here since the company began 20 years ago, or started shortly after the company started. DCSC sells software and it is very in demand in the warehousing/manufacturing industries. It is a good place for career growth in a burgeoning field.

Cons

When I come up with something I will add it here.

Pros

Nice area on the hill and thats it.

Cons

No talking is allowed and is written up. You are supposed to know what you are doing with no training other than read the tech manual. The owner is a bitter old man who treats everyone with disrespect. If you have a choice dont choose this company. So many employees have been in and out of this place. The people in charge try to micromanage everything in there.

Worst job I've ever had

Pros

There's not much of a positive about this place, but the building itself is nice, and in a nice neighborhood.

Cons

Communication is discouraged, as others have stated. Details below. While one might think that a small company with low headcount might be the sort of environment where a lot of collaboration, innovation, and face-to-face communication would thrive -- think again! The owners do not want you to communicate with them, or each other. Presumably, you are allowed to send e-mails to one another, but this is also selectively-enforced, and more than once I was criticized for asking for clarification, via e-mail. The only real human contact I got while working here is in whispers with the other "normal" employees while the owners were out of earshot. Talking to other employees is otherwise taboo. Seriously! You will literally be "written up" for any perceived rules infraction. These rules are not documented anywhere, but you have to sign a paper acknowledging being written up for whatever you did. Presumably, this is so they have a paper trail to defend themselves if you sue them and/or file unemployment after they get rid of you -- which seems to be the process in place. They seem to bring in people to work and get rid of them when the work is done. Thankfully, I quickly found work after leaving this wretched place and haven't been "written up" or made to feel like a moron one time since. Also, I'm getting better pay and better benefits. So, it's truly not an exagerration to say that this place literally has nothing going for it. The positive review posted here from someone claiming to have worked at this place for 17 years is a complete fabrication. This place is a revolving door. Don't bother going in, you won't like what you find.
