Pros

401K, vacation, short-term and long term disability, a little flexibility on workday schedule.

Cons

You can give 110% percent effort, but they want 110+%. Never satisfied. Managers don't resolve problems and often place roadblocks that prevent you from completing your work. Few opportunities for advancement., or career development,

Pros

A few smart engineers and employees who care about the products and work that are made.

Cons

Refused to provide proper training and guidance for newly hired engineers on products and gatekeep information to maintain job security. No mentorship opportunities. Micromanaging management style by the Engineering Director. Tumultuous rotation of C Suite level senior leadership. Product Development and Application Engineers were sent to the manufacturing plant to work on the assembly of products due to high turn overrate of factory workers.

Pros

HR has implemented a wonderful, clear-cut, and easy to follow skills matrix to help promote from within and show employees clear areas of improvement. The pay transparency is great and there is virtually no asking what you need to do to improve yourself and get promoted. Being cross-trained on the skills matrix also allows employees who are trained in multiple areas of the plant to receive a shift differential which completely changed the attitude of the hourly workers. No more, "that's not my job!" Instead, people feel a little more motivated to care about how other areas of the plant are doing. The in-plant management genuinely works *for* the hourly workers, for the most part.

Cons

Machining hours past due lead to a lot of unwanted and mandatory OT for the machine shop. There is also a lot a of difficulty in keeping people on the material handling and shipping teams, though even that was improving as I left,
