Pros

As long as you get seen at the hospital, the medical costs are paid for.

Cons

Depending on the department: Equipment/supplies are not always in stock. Spectra phones are old, broken, and don't always work. High expectations, but depending on department Director, sometimes not appreciated. Pay is low compared to other hospitals. Not enough parking!

You can be a Certified Nurse Assistant for years and it won't matter your pay will always be at 11 dollars an hour. Certified Nurse Assistants do all the work and nurses, doctors, and patients and patient family members treat them poorly. It is not worth it at all. Patients and family members have to wake up and realize that it is not a hotel it is a hospital where illnesses and death occur. You have to put up with annoying coworkers, coworkers who are always on their cell phones texting and being in other areas except being in the areas they are supposed to be at. You have to put up with annoying patients and their family members. Nurses and hospital staff do not care who you are or what you own everyone is treated the same.

Most of the staff were friendly, and management was OK. Good benefits.

Cons

Often understaffed at night. We sometimes had 4 CNAs on the floor during the day, then 2 at night for the same amount of patients. Management said they were always available, but didn't always listen.
