Pros

Core training sounds like a dream, only game in town (currently)

Cons

As a salary manager, you are often called upon to be sales floor staff for more then 75% of your shift offset reduced or dramatically cut hours . It is current practice to have multiple Store Managers (instead of hours staff) drive to other store to, "clean up" before a regional visit. This is done as a method to avoid showing on any corporate hours reporting. Regional staff is out of touch with stores, as a result they sets unobtainable goals. Last yearly bonus was abruptly taken away and bonus rules changed one week before bonus checks were to be sent out in April. Asset Protection acts as DM's, as a result you are walked twice a week losing up to 12 hours of your week. Most SM's work 6 days to offset these walks and 7 days through the holiday season. Regional staff will call you on your personal cell and days off. Ed doesn't want Regional staff to have their own ideas, you will hear, "Follow the plan, the plan works" with 8 out of ten stores being behind on process. Assistant Manager Salary significantly lower then SM, $$ are apparent in caliber of ASM. 55% SM Turnover.

Pros

Great Benefits, other than vacation.

Cons

Bad vacation accrual. 4am to 2pm is bad, but you get use to it after awhile. You get let down... A lot. Unfortunately Management couldn't do much to keep the employees happy. If you work hard you get promoted, and then screwed. They put more and more work on to your workload, while allowing the part timers to do nothing without repercussions.
