Pros

Customers were generally nice "Flexible Scheduling" Great Coworkers Several of the discounts on items were nice if you searched around the store.

Cons

Schedules were jerked around constantly. 5 hours one week and then 20 the next. Managers tried to keep payroll as low as possible so would run the store with minimum staff. On top of this, they were always on a hiring spree in order to keep the hours of its part-time staff low. Store Managers were quitting often (4 within last year). The current General Store Manager runs the store more based on fear of losing hours (which she claims she has no influence over) but clearly does not value the dedication that the employees give. The store lead the district in customer service but has since declined greatly. It's almost as if the store runs better without a General manager and just the two assistant managers. Lastly is the general attitude that had been circling around before I left was one of frustration. Most employees loved working there but just felt defeated in their work relationships with management. Virtually no room for advancement even though leadership positions are always open. It is like everyone was searching for work somewhere else. Literally 4 people left in one month with several more simply waiting for anything else to come up so they could leave. While retail turnover is usually high, our store had a fairly high retention rate, but again has been in decline. It saddens me to see what has become of Store 31, and hopefully you will think long and hard before working at this store. It has great potential but is being squashed by management.

Not Worth Working For!

Pros

You get 25% off of everything in the store.

Cons

1. They say the hours are flexible, but they are not. You ask for 25 hours a week and they will make you work 30 hours. They will end of taking advantage of you! Not to mention, they mess up your availability non stop. So you will tell them that you cannot work one day and you check your schedule for next week and they will have you on that day. 2. Every customer that walks in is a lobotomite. They do not care if they destroy everything in the store because they don't have to clean it up. They also treat you badly if you cannot help them or cannot answer their impossible questions. 3. There is a lack of communication between the manager and the head departments. One tells you one thing and the other tells you something different. You will also get chewed out by the head coach for doing nothing at all! If you were never told how to do something, you get written up. 4. Pay is horrible. You literally have to work doubles everyday in order to make DECENT money. Not to mention all the things you have to deal with on a regular basis. It makes the money not worth it. 5. The employees are rude and they play around like they are on a basketball court. The managers at each location like to hire kids that fool around and do not take their jobs seriously. I noticed that many times some of the stores like the Broken Arrow location barely have any employees working there. Which in reality makes their job more difficult. 6. List goes on and on....
