Pros

Many knowledgeable and friendly co-workers. The salary and benefits package are generous. The corporate HQ, cafeteria and on-site gym are great. If you live in a nearby town, the commute is quick.

Cons

If, on the other hand, you live in more desirable Pittsburgh, the commute can be long and slow. Traffic is real! Also, the highway is not plowed quickly or well, so imminent snow predictions have people running for the exits. The apparel development team is poorly managed by executives with little experience designing/producing clothing or developing brands. If you are entrepreneurial, it may be a difficult company to work for. It's very corporate and the expectation is that you will "stay in your lane." Tools needed to perform the job are not supplied. On Boarding looks good on paper; in reality, it is bare bones. It was, overall, a disappointment.

Pros

Fun atmosphere Great way to meet great people You’re able to create your own development path (If not a part of management) Your schedule is very flexible Upbeat, fast paced

Cons

The development path is inconsistent Pay is incredibly biased If you are in a salaried position, you will not have a work/life balance Many major HR issues go untouched, where minor ones are magnified. You are managed by a number, everyday, all day. You are constantly answering to a number and why. Instead of being able to run your business, you’re answering to a DM on WHY it wasn’t correct, on a daily basis. No matter if you’re at the top, it is never good enough Very little to no positive reinforcement

Pros

Good, competitive salary. Excellent bonus. Nice gym.

Cons

No work - life balance. If you work in corporate IT, expect to be called at any time of day or night. So, even though the salary is nice, it doesn't work out to a great hourly rate. During the Holidays (November - December), expect not to have actual days off (or weekends), especially if something goes wrong in Production, which happens often due to inadequate testing (caused by oftentimes insane deadlines). Management seems to reward hard work and learning by calling you more off-hours. The management style can be summed up like this: "I don't care what it takes, just do it, because the CEO said so."
