Pros

Good place to build relationships with co-workers. Valuable beginning sales experience. Learn how to keep things organized and complete projects.

Cons

If you do not know about a particular sport, some of the questions are tough to answer for the customers. Sometimes breaks were not given when the store was busy.

Pros

-Flexible hours -Good benefits for full time (32+ hrs a week) -Clean and comfortable store environment (most stores) -Sports toys abound -relative freedom and responsibility

Cons

-extremely high turnover, constantly training new employees -non-existent training -some incompetent managers -frequently at minimum staffing, tough if you are part-time -some questionable store programs -constant product shortages -many poor employees -low pay This is retail, what did you expect?

Poorly run. Store manager had no idea what was actually going on.
