Pros

Cheap Sat Tv. Cheap Sling.

Cons

Salary and Benefits are average at best. Culture is the worst, incompetent and afraid leadership. Wireless especially is a settling ground for People from the SatTV side of business. People with no experience are being placed as managers and leaders. Headless chickens flapping around in desperation. HR is equally incapable of sourcing. Ethical way of working is going to be challenged with constant ask to bend the rules with vendors to make them bleed and suffer.

Pros

-some of the management is really solid, good people -They offer ATO (available time off) which is sometimes very nice for things like school/family -Training is really solid and they have great instructors. Absolute best training I have received at any job.

Cons

-Its a very corporate business. You as an employee are nothing more but a number. A spoke on their wheel. They do not care for you. They fired a guy I knew, because they found out he was dying. Imagine firing a dying man, and then saying it was for "cultural incompatibility". This company did that. Which is why they are getting two stars. Turnover rate is extremely high. Just not a good place to work if you like being treated like a human being.

Pros

DISH does a great job of letting its employees explore other opportunities within the company which is a great way to transition your career to something completely different if you are interested in doing so.

Cons

DISH wants you to think they are invested in creating a better culture, but they definitely aren't. Every 6 months or so you take an "anonymous" engagement survey on the culture and work environment that directors and above are compensated on. I found out the hard way that this survey is not actually anonymous - and after giving an "average/neutral" score on most questions (rating a 3 out of 5), my director's score went down so I was forced out of the company. When my manager went to HR about the situation, she was placed on a leave of absence and then let go. Looking back, it was a blessing in disguise, but don't be fooled by the things you hear about DISH trying to reinvent their culture. It always has been and always will be an "old boys club."
