Very difficult place to work for Sr Managers

Pros

Excellent compensation package, good atmosphere to work, people are friendly an helpful. Interesting highly technical projects.

Cons

DPR will work you until you drop, literately, be prepared for very long work hours and very little quality of life outside of work. It is becoming a cult atmosphere, give your life to DPR or leave. Some very high level Sr manager..... one of the worst people I've ever worked for. It took me a solid year to recover after I left, physically, mentally and emotionally.

Pros

- Fantastic company culture of work hard, play hard. - Nepotism isn't a thing, which is shocking for the construction industry. -- - Transparency from the BULTs is great, although they can get exceedingly busy. - Performance reviews & feedback is systematic, which makes it easy to track career development. - Surprisingly heavy focus on employee training, personality fits and career development. - Company events are ridiculously fun and weekend getaways are a can't-miss.

Cons

- Some legacy issues: people who have long passed their prime are in positions where they're doing more harm than good, both to the projects and DPR's reputation remain. - Mobility to different sites or projects: not terribly sensitive to commutes or to requests for being put on regional projects. Project assignments can be random and may not make much sense at times.

Pros

Good people, great projects, top clients and fun culture. Pretty good work life balance for the industry and lots of flexibility. No clock watching, only expectation is get your work done.

Cons

Average salaries for the area and bonuses are not tied to merit. Don't expect much compensation for exceeding expectations or having successful projects. Difficult to get rid of weak people.
