Pros

meritocracy, smart people, laid back

Cons

partners dont care about you. When they have chance, they will not honor what you agreed on for bonus percentage. The partners think DRW is a tech company. It isnt. It is a prop trading firm in essence. Stop trying to brainwash employees

You’re right that DRW is a trading firm – one that is strongly enabled by technology. We equally value the contributions of our trading, tech and support teams – each of which is full of really smart people that make DRW the firm that it is. We think our partners are pretty great and we’re a firm that values upholding our commitments, so we’re sorry to hear you didn’t have that same experience.

Pros

It's a trading company so the pay is of course at the top of the market.

Cons

Management views employees as dollar signs and not as people and is hypercritical of subordinates but unable to take feedback. Work life balance is non-existent and work nights, weekends, and while on PTO is expected. There is not a lot of room for professional growth.

Work-life balance and professional development are typically among the things our employees routinely praise at DRW, so we’re sorry to hear that wasn’t your experience.

Pros

the company in itself is very good; the quality of live and direction does vary a lot depending on the group. Fixed income and commodities have gone a large transformation, so the organization is messy, draconian with constant treats of getting you fired.

Cons

--No life-work balance --The job you do is very different from the job you were hired to do; and somehow is your fault

We understand this type of environment is not a great fit for every employee. We encourage you to talk to your manager or with a member of our recruiting team to ensure we’re meeting the expectations you had of your job responsibilities.
