      Pros

      DTE has a strong continuous improvement and process-oriented approach. This is helping to take the company to new heights. DTE generally takes care of its employees fairly well.

      Cons

      There is still some nepotism, but not as rampant as in the past. Upper management seems to have some clear ideas on how to improve the company, but it sometimes feels as though that gets lost in translation at mid-management levels.

      The pay is decent and you learn new things if your able to stick around long enough.

      Cons

      They have hidden expectation that if you do not live up to the first week you will be shown the door. Expected to work overtime for free.

      Its engaging, safe, alot of opportunity to grow, excellent management, and people, great pay, and benifits, challenging an all around great work environment.

      Cons

      Swing shift. Long hours, work in all weather conditions, from extreme heat to below zero temperature. Can be dirty work around coal and coke.
