I believe the organization - all the way up to the most senior management - cares about individuals and their well-being and works to balance that with results
Cons
For individuals who would prefer to maximize profits as a trader, this is not the best place to do it
-Pay
-Benefits
-If you're not playing games, IT management will have your back
-Pretty cutting edge technology being introduced. Old hardware is not acceptable or welcomed here.
-Contractors CAN convert to full time employees here.
-From the IT stand point, this environment offers an extremely valuable set of skills to be learned and to learn how to deal with unique problems. This is however a very fast moving environment. Time is quite literally money here.
Cons
Almost everyone (including IT superiors) seem to think that if its tech related, then you must be able to fix it, even if its not something in your job description or you even have any experience with. It can get pretty annoying at times.
Almost everyone outside of IT is arguably senile and lacks communication skills. Think of your grandma stumbling through a smartphone and saying "it doesnt work"
