Pros

I really can't think of any pros...It was that terrible.

Cons

I was in the recruiting department. If you are a recruiter and you are interested in DaVita, I would run. They don't give you the necessary tools to effectively do your job. If you want to work the ATS and just send warm bodies over to the business unit, this is the job for you. They do not have a consultative bone in their "body". The recruiting department is pretty large and they have a lot of turnover. The training was terrible. I mean TERRIBLE. Many of the managers of Talent Acquisition are a joke. I've never worked for such a terrible company. Worst experience of my professional career.

Pros

The company culture, ideas, mission is a great idea, maybe it exists at the higher ranks. CEO seems amazing - just wished he would start looking at the other departments

Cons

Salary below Average Department specific happiness Poor work/life balance Divas mid ranks Vindictive Get used to being told your worthless for other departments failures Don't bother trying change the weakness - you will be shut down and told your not a team player.

Pros

DaVita is a well respected company with a big presence in Denver and is rapidly growing. But if I'm being honest the cafeteria and office space are the two best things about this place.

Cons

Leadership tries to cultivate a unique/fun culture, however this gets completely undermined by the actions of management and how employees are treated. Directors and others in leadership roles are often lacking in professionalism and tact. Some prefer passive aggressiveness, while others prefer to berate their reports in front of others for no reason other than to test them. They have a lack luster compensation/benefits package and a strong inclination to hire from the outside rather than promote from within. Unless you have an ivy league MBA and meet the arbitrary threshold for "VP potential" be prepared to churn and burn until you see yourself to the door.
