Pros

Okay benefits, location, ecopass, did I say location.

Cons

It's a facade! It is not the company that everyone believes it is from the newspaper and the media! Everyone in the building is either overworked or looking for another place to work. The heads of the company scream about the cuts and sequestration and possible closure of facilities across the country asking for us to give and donate time and money to help, and just last year he made a record 53.7 million salary. That is more than double from the last year at 14.8 million annual salary. Still they always have an excuse when we ask them to match or contribute to our 401k. Usually within a few months of employment people see past the facade and spit out the Kool aid and leave, very high turn over and they install fear in you by stating that Colorado is an at - will state, meaning they can fire you if they don't like your hair color or what you wear to work.

Pros

The job of a dialysis tech is very rewarding. There is a lot to learn, which is satisfying. You will take care of people and have an impact on their lives. You will learn a lot about bodies, and will work alongside nurses who a can teach you more if they are open to that. It's a team environment and it feels great to work together to take care of people.

Cons

The days are long and the pay is low. You will want to take the best care of your patients, but the company's goal is making money. Sometimes those 2 things don't line up. The job is very physical - you need to be in good shape. You also need to be comfortable with technology. You'll be expected to understand how the machines work and trouble shoot if they malfunction, and there is a lot of documentation in computers. If you're a slow typer or are intimidated by computers it will be hard to keep up the pace.

Pros

Enjoy the patients and some of the team members. I like the fun core value. The pay is not too bad, but could improve.

Cons

The FA position is a joke!! You're a gloried charge nurse with no support. FA spends more time working on the floor, than getting necessary time to complete all the overwhelming work done to be successful in this role. Then, there is no organized management training...left on your own to figure out things when you're still expected to complete all the tasks deadlines. Leadership has cliques, shows favoritism, lots of nepotism, and retaliates if you don't agree with their opinions. You're a marked target for attrition; you're ostracized if you're not in the cliques. If the leadership doesn't like the FA, they are openly rude and short-tempered with you in meetings or when you reach out to them. Just a hostile work environment ! Not to mention the unrealistic company goals that nonclinical upper leadership sets for the FAs to drive. Very long days with no appreciation or compassion from the leadership. Sink or swim mentality! This position will pull your soul out of you; chronic overwhelming stress that causes health problems for everyone. No work-life balance. Misleading in the interviews! Would not recommend this company.
