Unethical Company

Pros

The company has some good people that try to help patients and not scam them. Some people have no choice and have to be on services but it doesn’t give the company the right to scam people and take advantage of them.

Cons

The company is a terrible and unethical company that appears to not live up to their core values. When they get in trouble with the government they’re quick to pass blame and try and hide their mistakes. Then they do big speech about how they’re proud of the way they handle things when they take no accountability for scamming patients and trying to make a quick buck. The leadership team is way worst than horrible. They say they have an open door policy but they don’t listen to their employees. When you go to Human Resources, expect nothing to be done except get bullied, retaliated, against, and your life to become super miserable because they keep nothing confidential. They allow managers to discriminate and bully people because they’re not in their “clique”. The company has allowed for people to be turned away from getting jobs, being promoted, and even just being able to work peacefully because of their race, religion, disability status, sexual orientation, and age. When you try and speak about with senior leadership, recruiting, or Human Resources, they just say oh well. I’ve personally seen my colleagues be bullied and placed on write ups because they were gay, or they went to church, or because they were sick and had to take time off to have surgery. I even personally heard a manager in Human Resources tell an employee that they weren’t capable of doing the job because they were too old. This company really needs to be investigated throughly by the government because of their bad and unethical business practices. Save yourself the time and look for a better job somewhere else where you can expect the company to be ethical.

Pros

Fantastic downtown location with a new building almost completed steps to the lightrail. Complete autonomy to set your own work priorities. Flexible schedule to allow remote work location when needed. The company has a presence in the community with many volunteer opportunities. There are many career development opportunities to take advantage of.

Cons

IT management is not visible or connected. Having complete autonomy is nice, but it also means you are on your own to remove any obstacles you may face. Feedback and one on one with immediate manager is almost zero. This makes it very hard to improve and drive change. Zero team building events in the time I have been here in IT. However, if you are in HR, corp finance, marketing, etc there are many team building events and outings. The company just started a 401k this year with a very low match that you only get at the end of the year. If you leave prior to the end of the year you do not get the match contribution and you do not get the benefit of compounding interest throughout the year.

Pros

The dress code and parking

Cons

My male boss has a habit of coming over to my very open cube and just stares at me for approxinately a minute. He frowns, shakes his head and storms off. An hour of so later he reprimands me by saying so and so noticed. I sit directly in front of him and have from day one. He watches when I go to the bathroom and come and go. If I change my schedule, he changes his to the same schedule. If I leave the building, I am supposed to tell him where I am going and when I will be back. I am not allowed to work from home or use my cell phone for any reason during working hours including emergencies. I was disciplined for making a personal call, reading training materials, not using the company headset or second monitor and not speaking up in a meeting when they were talking about processes that made no sense. He threatened to fire me before my vacation, pulls me into conference rooms where he reprimands me for things that no normal person would, talks down to me, yells and attacks me, talks about me to everyone, expects me to work 10 hour days without a break and assigned me the task of a scribe on a project only to kick me off three months later. I am not sure why I was ever hired in the first place. The atmosphere there is terrible. No one goes to lunch and only interacts with each other when management isn't around. If you are a female, don't go work here. They will stick you with this supervisor who clearly hates women. Also, they have no concept of software development. They are too hung up on processes, extreme micromanagement and harassment instead of actually getting work done. You actually get graded on your work and are given very unreasonable instructions on how to do it.
