Too much work for the resources on a project. The answer to everything from above is "we need checklist for that". The salary started okay but with no merit raises since starting here the compensation isn't all that great with the travel. Salary is not at all tied to performance reviews. I thought it was just us but other departments seem to have the same problem. Seems company wide. Per diem is very low. Similar to how workers get treated here. It's the little things that add up. It's really a small company. There are't many openings for advancement.

The work is no longer steady and the out look is bleak for business. They failed to adapt to the supply chain and now we can't get the basics to do jobs. No we can't get steel or other basic parts to do what needs to be done. The company struggles with long term vision and leadership and this is just the tip of the iceberg of problems. The people I used to like working slowly all left for totally preventable reasons. Slightly better compensation, less travel, more vacation time, better management, etc. All things that should have been obvious signs if anyone at the top actually read the exit interviews. Now you just feel like another cog in the wheel of a mega corp that really is't that big. instead of taking care of the people that built things they bring in new people at a higher rate with more titles. Most of the time they manage to higher the smooth talkers and they just can't perform. One look at our R&D department and it's clear. If people tend to stick to their own kinds than there is no saving this company from itself. The slick talkers just keep saying how great they are and they get promoted. Does any manager or executive actually fact check what these people are saying about how good they are before hiring or promoting them? It doesn't seem like it. Maybe they don't care as long as they drink the water and keep giving each other promotions.
