Visionary CEO but marketing leadership leaves much to be desired

Pros

Great CEO and first class people--really smart, strong people.

Cons

I worked at DailyPay for almost 2 years. Unlike other reviewers, I really like the CEO, think he has such a vision and is a great leader. Marketing leadership however, leaves much to be desired. The CMO is full of drama, leads by fear, and has created a very nepotistic environment. I don't think she is the one to lead the company's marketing efforts, she is all fluff, PR, and out to create a brand and name for herself. The people she brought with her to DailyPay are horrible, yet, she trusts their word and finds no fault with them. She does not manage the budget, spends money like water, and literally sees no results.

Thanks for writing. Our people are at the heart of what makes DailyPay successful and we’re sorry that your experience was inconsistent with our culture and values. This year, all of our departments (including the Marketing team) worked on specific action items to improve the culture and ways of working based on direct employee feedback via an anonymous employee engagement survey. Our most recent anonymous employee engagement survey showed a 90% positive response regarding working in Marketing, describing their experience as collaborative, empowered, and impactful. They also described the CMO as inspirational and forward-thinking. We are constantly striving to make our culture as best as it can be, and everyone has a part in creating that culture. Pros

Start up vibes, decent pay (not amazing), free amazon books (I guess we will see if they take this away too like free lunch), people are generally nice and met some really great friends here

Cons

Culture has declined in the past couples years since I've been here, it happens when you hire as many people as they have "free lunch" was taken away right at the start of this year -UNLESS YOU WENT INTO THE OFFICE. And low and behold, someone got covid since allowing people in the office. Also since it's on seamless it's not really free because of their ridiculous fees leadership leads something to be desired Culture is kinda corporate cult-y, the growth has really diluted. If you make mistakes you don't get second chances, you are reprimanded I've seen multiple people get let go without a warning

DailyPay continues to work on maintaining our unique culture as we evolve and scale our organization. We have a strong focus on maintaining a sense of community. Our people are the cornerstone of what makes this place so special, and we approach creating an inclusive and thriving culture with great intentionality. We continue to institute new learning and development opportunities for our talent, which includes a robust goal setting and performance management process to ensure each colleague knows what’s expected of them to be successful and receives ongoing feedback and guidance to support their success. Please note that we are following state and city protocols in order to allow a limited number of employees to safely work from the office during this time should they wish to do so. Most of our DailyPay team members continue to work in remote locations. We’d love to learn more about your experiences, if you are willing to share.
