Pros

I was able to help people in a one-on-one capacity. Depending on what campus you work at, there is a lot of team work, and employees love what they do.

Cons

Given that this is a public school, there is a lot of red tape when trying to get approval for something. If you end up at a campus where morale is low, it can be a chore to go to work.

Pros

Adult students can be willing and ready to learn. Colleagues can be wonderful.

Cons

Divisions and departments such as local HR are uncommunicative and lack resources or assistance to adjunct faculty. I feel like I do not exist.

Solid education for an affordable rate. Ability to help students. Generous time off (holidays, etc)

Cons

Inability for some (Older females in particular) to break through the glass ceiling. You have to know the right people to move up.
