Make a difference if you can put up with district

- Stability of salary and benefits - Time off - You're working in a place where people genuinely want to make a difference in students' lives. - Working at the school I work at is a positive as I love the people

Cons

- District is an absolute nightmare and is bereft of leadership. I can't emphasize this enough. They are absolutely clueless. Processes are always verbal and not written down. Numerous things are outdated and when they do try to change, like the website, they muck it up. Across all colleges in the district, the overwhelming consensus is that district is terrible. If anything, it's getting worse. - Communication is terrible - Too many people just "going with the flow" and collecting checks instead of trying to improve the organization.

President of Richland is a controlling wench-- she knows nothing about nothing and if you improve your enrollment numbers she doesn't like being upstaged-- but more important -- if the State of Texas knew of all the illegal enrollment there -- they would be SHUT DOWN!!

Highly political atmosphere. If you are in the Leadership Team clique you are in for life. The leadership clique will protect you and covet you for life. You will move up no matter your lack of skill or knowledge. And, if you just happen to have something on someone, they will leave you alone. Do not speak out when you see a clique leader being unethical, incompetent, lack of knowledge, or even not present. They will come after you. There are career opportunities for those that are valued in the highly sought after leadership clique. You can become a member of the leadership clique with access if you see no evil, hear no evil, or speak no evil. You are in if you stay to yourself and keep you mouth shut.
