Every department and supervisor is different. After virtual operations, there seems to be more flexibility.

Cons

Org has undergone restructure. Working to organize itself to streamline, institute new processes. It’s been 2 years of lots of change, a lot of that seems to be behind but still going through growing pains

I have realized that it is all in who you know, not what you know or what qualifications you have. Communication is terrible. The Dean in the area that I teach is a busy body who will not reply to any email or TEAMS message that you send her. She is always gossiping and clearly is in the position that she is in because of who she knows. Zero support from higher up. Room for promotion is almost impossible. Just because the position is open, they usually have their candidate list already established. Tokenism at the top and they are only there because they say "Yes". A whole facade.

Honestly, there is nothing good I can tell about this place, NONE.

Cons

I came to this college in the hopes that I could get away from the toxicity of the corporate environment, lo and behold that this place is the worst place for this purpose. In fact, it is the poison capital of the world. It is worse than any corporate environment I have worked for but with the measly pay of a county college.
