      Darktrace has exceptionally talented, committed people across leadership and the sales organization. Teams continue to show resilience, professionalism, and pride in the product and mission. Former CEO Jill Popelka exemplified intelligent, transparent, and empathetic leadership. She set a strong standard for values-driven decision-making and inspired trust across the company.

      Cons

      Since the acquisition, Thoma Bravo’s leadership decisions have felt short-term and misaligned with building sustainable, long-term growth. The dismissal of Jill Popelka highlighted broader instability and disconnect at the ownership level. Ongoing strategic uncertainty makes it difficult for employees to feel confident in the company’s long-term direction, despite the strength of its people and technology.

      Pros

      Fantastic culture and team. Genuinely inclusive, not just a tick box exercise. Lots of opportunities to work on interesting projects with autonomy. Senior leaders and execs are open, supportive and know what they are doing.
