Pros

Incredible AI, on the forefront of a world changing industry, Darktrace is an Apex predator amongst giants in the space, prospects are excited to hear from me, first demo’s consistently wow and will move to trial any decision makers of any company. Internal team is fun, super smart, extremely driven and motivating as hell. Executive team is constantly hosting events, sponsoring trade shows and providing never ending incentives to keep winning. 20 days of paid vacation feels endless and they fly us out to Barcelona if we’re in the top 20%. I haven’t even got to the MASSIVE deal size potential. 21 year olds are taking home 100k in commission on their first year! It’s amazing! I bought my first brand new car with my first commission check. Don’t worry about the other complainers. This place is for winners.

Cons

Deal process can be a tad over complicated. Involving too many parties. CTs, CEs, and Upper Managements and CFOs all need to coordinate schedules. POVs are super fragile and can fall apart at any moment. Lots of flakey prospects, don’t get your hopes up too fast. Must have thick skin for heavy disappointment. Training focused heavy on AI fundamentals but not on POV process and how to smoothly carry the value throughout a 30 day meeting process. Seems like veteran reps know the loop holes. ISRs brought up as an AE do the best using their inner connections. No access to trade shows and if anyone meets your lead in real life you have to give it up no matter what. Some fear mongering at first but eventually you get over it and get better or quit.

Pros

Decent base salary. Nice people to work with and are very team oriented.

Cons

Heavy sales driven. Can be very demanding and stressful. That is the life of sales however, and is not for the faint of heart.

Cons

Extreme Micromanagement from time of onboard. Get 5% commission on deals but, only you only receive 2.5% when you close and 2.5% 1 year after you close. They try to keep you here without getting paid on your deals. Daily POV updates and Deal calls twice per week to explain everything to management. No company culture. 35 reps attacking the same territory, causes a ton of infighting. Unfortunately the in-house CRM is terrible.
