Growing Pains...

Pros

Family owned company that will keep the business open with no plans to merge or sell to others. So if you do a good job for the company, you pretty well have a job until you leave. Decent benefits and pay is okay. Raises are few and far between.

Cons

The company seems to hire people based on who they know or which church they attend instead of the best qualified candidate for the position. Have seen excellent people leave because management does not value their opinion. Very cliquish, and sometimes feels like a high school.

Pros

Some great, talented people to work with. Skeletal processes are starting to be put in place. If you're happy to stay in the same position for years its pretty cozy.

Cons

Very disorganized. No solid processes or documentation in place. Projects picked up and dropped without notice. A lot of wasted talent. Expect to be treated like an hourly employee. Your work doesn't matter so much as getting there on time. Zero room for ideas. Middle management is super cliquey.
