Pros

Lots of interesting work, smart people to work with, good comp.

Cons

Intense and demanding. Huge codebase and (depending on what you're working on) long build times. Still a good CI/CD pipeline considering.

Pros

DataRobot's greatest asset is absolutely its people who are very skilled, passionate, and hardworking. It is truly a pleasure to work with such people, they challenge you to be constantly developing yourself but also make sure to lead you by the hand when you need help. I really like people's attitude and tone of communication in this company. And DataRobot strives to ensure the employees are happy and productive all the time. There are many interesting technological challenges in the company in many work streams, and it is possible to move from one company domain to another, you are not fixed on one project forever. One of the most ambitious recent projects is focused on solving some of the world's hardest and most important problems surrounding COVID-19, where we develop tools for forecasting, simulating future and changing it. The work culture is very flexible in terms of location and work schedule, which was a standard even in pre-COVID times. The company provides flexible time off, meaning there's no limit on how much holidays you can take, which is an amazing benefit. However, people here are responsible and passionate about their work, and I don't experience anyone abusing this benefit. It is just great to work in a company where you know that you can have as much time off as you need to refresh and refill your energy levels. The company encourages to be continuously developing yourself, there are many great initiatives to help us plan and achieve our best selves both professionally and personally!

Cons

There's a flavor of American work culture in terms of long working hours. However, no one is forced to work long hours, but it is encouraged to work hard, which is nothing bad, but it comes without a clear definition of what that means, and some people confuse long work hours with productive hours. I believe the company could do a better job communicating this controversial company value.
