Pros

The initial salaries are competitive You will get the opportunity to work with some really smart hard working individuals. If you are good at using email spamming tools like outreach, don't want to advance your career and are willing to deal with metrics that are not clearly defined or correlated with comp then you might like it here.

Cons

-DataRobot, like many tech companies, claims to want to make the world a better place. Unfortunately the amount of business done with payday loan companies shows just what kind of world it really wants. -SDR Specific I can't speak to other positions at the company but feel free to read the other reviews (not the ones spammed on here by current employees). If you are an SDR looking to join this company or not currently an SDR but wish to be one, know this before accepting a role here.- if you want to be a sales rep one day you will be much better served working somewhere else. DataRobot has passed the early stage start up phase where it would be worth it(stock) to deal with sloppy process, unclear metrics that are misaligned with compensation and managers that are struggling to understand their role as much as the people they manage. -As an SDR the "training" you will receive has not been competently updated or reviewed since at least 2018. You will not receive opportunities to develop any sales skills outside of the ones required to be an SDR. Yes I understand the importance of prospecting in sales, but at some point you have to be able to interact live with potential customers and at DR that is entirely handled by sales reps. -Do not expect to ever advance to sales rep at this company. During the interview they will likely mention that SDRs have advanced. 5 total since the company started. The most recent only after significant blowback from the entire SDR team and a mass layoff of the North American based Sales Development team. -Everything at DataRobot begins and ends with the question what can we do that won't anger Jeremy (CEO). The problem with this is Jeremy is temperamental, does not have a good read of the market or where its heading (see continuous drastic changes in the way the product is marketed that are alway a step behind the competitors), and lacks any ability to empathize with both his own employees and the people who will potentially benefit from the product. -While DataRobot claims to be a place that encourages its employees to work on projects that they are passionate about, what they really mean is to bust your butt trying to make overly complicated processes, created by people who wont use them, work in a day to day business applications.

Pros

- Competitive salaries - Smartest people to work with - Healthy work/life balance - Unlimited days off - Very good support in personal growth

Cons

- Sometimes too much work to do - Some company values are too "corporate" - Very aggressive hiring (lots of new hires takes a lot of time from senior staff)

STOP THE MADNESS PLEASE...

Pros

Met some good people, but nothing else. Compensation WAS good, but then they made us all take HUGE pay cuts after the phony COVID layoff.

Cons

-The madness that really needs to stop is the totally fake "Positive 5-star reviews". Lies lies lies lies lies lies lies. If you are smart, you will see through this. I had 100 negative things to say about DataRobot, but I decided that I don't feel like wasting any time on this company. I am writing this post to check the box and move on. NOTE: There is so much negativity out there on this company around the world, if you decide to go there, you are either desperate or dumb or a combo of both. -The CEO approval was breaking 40% and DataRobot reviews plunged below 3.0 and then the silly "Great company.." "Love this place" reviews started popping up.. -This is Amateur Robot. Company is JV all around. -There is NO plan to go public. Your stock will never be worth anything, -Compensation was good until they made everyone (including admins) take huge pay cuts during the "COVID layoffs" -The layoff during COVID was despicable. The company was doing very poorly BEFORE the pandemic. They were planning layoffs and COVID made a great scapegoat. This is a FACT. -They laid people off in the middle of a pandemic with 30 days HC. Other tech companies that laid-off people had the decency to offer HC for 3-6 months or more. This was a few months after they raised $206m... Things that make you go.. hmmmm... -The new AppD leaders are as toxic as the old leaders. AppD is toxifying the software sales industry. They were successful, once. -The leaders are all toxic. The CEO is a joke. Super embarrassing to hear him speak. He is a nobody. -The CEO set a goal to land 2020 new logos in 2020. So an average of 5.5 new customers every single day of the week. One of the dumbest things I have ever heard. Try holding onto the customers that are heading for the exit. -The core tech is not bad, but REMEMBER, DataRobot is selling algorithms that are already FREE. -MLops should be called MLFLOPS. No one has ever been able to sell this tech. -You must be desperate to join this company. Take a job here if you have ZERO other options, but be prepared to not make any money, and then need to find a new job in 9-12 months. -Salespeople throughout history at DataRobot have almost all been failures. They are all leaving because it's not possible to make money. Ask them about performance. Its the worst I have ever seen in my career. -I bet there are more layoffs in the works. Customers are not renewing and reps are not selling and their burn rate is SKY high. BTW - the Ukraine office is SHADY AF. -Again, their technology houses FREE open source algorithms. Why would you pay for this? I would not touch this awful place with a 1,000-foot pole. You are dense if you think this a good place to work, and I can not help you. You need to help yourself. Good luck!
