Overworked at Datalogic

Pros

The work at Datalogic is interesting. There are is a very talented technical team in Eugene. Salary is good for the Eugene area but not stellar nationally. Eugene is a great place to live.

Cons

In recent years the Italian leadership has pulled most of the control and critical jobs back to Italy leaving very little upward mobility for the American staff. The Eugene team is frustrated, overworked and burned out from all the changes and lack of a clear future.

Pros

A lot of good, smart, and hardworking coworkers.

Cons

Corporate management and culture is corrupt, manipulating and almost or sometimes actually downright criminal. Managers can regularly abuse their employees with no repurcussions. Culture is such that if you complain you will be retailiated against, up to and including losing your job. Used to have a good product.

Pros

Really great nice people in Eugene, Oregon. Most are left over from before Datalogic bought the local company and then moved most to Italy or elsewhere. They have all given up but just hang on for the healthcare benefits. Turnover is high.

Cons

Pretty much everything else but the few good co-workers still left in Eugene.
