Pros

My colleagues were some of the most brilliant, funny people I've ever had the pleasure of working with.

Cons

8+ hours per day of observing human misery with no mental health resources whatsoever and a constant push to flood client feeds with junk for the sake of numbers. Only real path for advancement is into management, which doesn't rely on any regional or subject matter expertise whatsoever.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your time at Dataminr. We take all feedback seriously and use it as a tool for growth and improvement. We do believe Dataminr's benefits support employee wellness and well-being, including mental health resources like Headspace Care, the on-demand wellness app that provides 24/7 access to a life coach, therapist, or psychiatrist for our employees and their families. Dataminr also offers mental health coverage to all employees who seek outside regular help, such as the use of ‘in-network’ therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, psychologists, counselors, etc. Our total rewards strategy continuously explores ways to attract, retain, recognize, and reward exceptionally talented and diverse employees because we value, above all else, the contributions of our amazing teammates, across the globe and the important work that they do supporting Dataminr's mission.

Thank you for writing a review. We are proud of our Total Rewards offering to employees. One of our priorities has always been and will continue to be, ensuring that employees and their families feel supported and cared for during their time at Dataminr. However, we are disappointed to hear that you do not feel respected as an employee at Dataminr. We value our employees and understand the importance of feeling respected and rewarded for your unique contributions. Last year's decision to conduct layoffs was a difficult one and was not made lightly. While those measures were necessary, we understand the feelings of uncertainty and concern that accompany them and are committed to strengthening our internal support systems and communications to support our teams during challenging times.
