Pros

Good people, focused on the right things, straight forward roles and expectations. Good corporate history and in diverse markets and products with focus on growth

Cons

Very decentralized internal environment and silos and a rosey picture of it capabilities and ability to compete. Focus is on future technology and products but very segmented.

Pros

Somewhat insulated from current economic situation through the provision of outsourced and managed services - there exists better job security than other UK companies (but only in certain business units)

Cons

Complete focus on cost control rather than gains through adequate resourcing and improved business processes - lack of career progression or reward recognition - very little personal improvement opportunities due to lack of adequate/relevant training - senior management seem to have little grasp of where the company is heading and what needs to be done to get there - every communique (and there are few useful ones) refers back to the current economic situation as if that is a justification for every business decision at present...

Pros

The Toronto office has one of the liveliest group of people working together on resolving client issues round the clock. The work environment is the one of the most pleasant ones you would ever work at if you like the social aspect while working.

Cons

Work is not challenging after sometime and given the talent level of the hired employees, which is why retention rate is not high. Higher management can be negligent about motivating employees to stay with the companies despite how much care some employees have for the customers that they are dealing with. I would not recommend anyone to stay with this company for long, at least not in an analyst of consultant position because the expertise developed will not be proportional to the amount of time at this company.
