Pros

Great location, brand new office space with a funky vibe, good colleagues, new technology and interesting product. Positive to see continued growth after acquisition in this economy. Like the benefits gained from Ceridian.

Cons

Limited sense of cohesion after acquisition, more red tape which I think could effect the culture of the company. Deadlines need to be more realistic. Need stronger focus on work/life balance.

Great place for "A" players

Pros

Tremendous energy and buzz in the office. Lot of emphasis put on team culture (funner club plans movies, sports teams, charity drives). Company culture is very open and everyone (including senior management) regularly pulls up their sleeves. It has been quite amazing to see how much we have done in the last year.

Cons

Employees have to be prepared to be part of a very high performing team. This does involve "dead-line" type work (but generally very little last night and even less weekend work.) Employees used to typical 9-5 office hours tend to have issues adapting. Everyone is expected to deliver to plan but generally expectations are okay.

Pros

If you are looking to become part of the fast paced technology movement in Toronto, Dayforce is a great place to be. I am working with some of the smartest people in the industry who bring a wealth of experience from previous technology organizations that have been some of the most successful in North America. Dayforce represents what I would consider to be a silicon valley org, but located right here in Canada.

Cons

Yes it is work hard play hard. You need to love what you do and have passion and ambition.
