Pros

Decathlon will teach you everything, there's so many things to learn, I have been really happy working here, Flexible timings Good work Culture Makes you autonomous No hierarchy

Cons

Unless your Manager/coach is good with you, your growth is at halt, you are not at all an actor of your own growth, Transparency is missing, you will be removed from your position without any discussion with you and once you gets to know that you are removed, they will give you some unacceptable reasons for taking this decision and you can't do anything about it. No Job security. I am feeling helpless.

Pros

- salary (as a student, I have never found another part-time job from which I could earn the same amount of money) - young and lively environment - only a couple of days for the training, then they want you to learn while working - flexible schedule, good distribution of working hours (5 hours x 4 days a week) - possibility to work during the weekend (might be a con, but as a student it was a huge plus, also because the hourly salary is higher)

Cons

- chaotic and quite useless group interview... but maybe I was just very unlucky with the interviewer! - working during the weekend (see pros also) - they let me know that my contract was not going to be renewed only on the last day of work... they could have told me a little sooner - for seasonal sales assistants (which is what I was... had they told me so when I was signing the contract, I wouldn't have expected them to renew my contract at the end of the 3 months) : they don't really care whether you know about sportswear or not. You have to learn by reading the descriptions of the products by yourself. When you get to deal with more demanding clients, they immediately realize you don't know what you are talking about... and it's quite frustrating! (I had specified in my application that I had knowledge about swimming and fitness equipment, but I was sent to hiking and skiing area...)

Pros

Can't think of any to be honest!

Cons

I have never left a negative review in my life, but dear me, I also think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go to work in corporate world. Unfortunately, the standards at this company were very poor : Favoritism (from top management), Off-shore French team were quite incompetent, Bad paymaster (compared to other sports retailers), Lacking leadership & long term vision, Shabby office space, No work life balance (especially for retail team).
