Pros

You can write your own paycheck by working a maximum of 160 hours a paycheck.

Cons

No longevity pay. No pay raises unless someone is murdered. When there is a pay raise it is only to adjust the starting salary. No incentive to stay. Promotional pay raises are negligible. The pension is horrible. If you work for 25 years under the current pension plan and salary you will make 26 thousand dollars a year in retirement before taxes.

Pros

Overtime is plentiful but that’s it.

Cons

No longevity pay. No pay raises until someone is murdered. Horrible increase in pay with promotion. Forced overtime weekly. Massive mismanagement with schedules and assignments. Despicable pension that will see you work for 25 years just to collect 26k a year in pension.

Pros

Flex schedule on the PO side is huge plus. Excellent benefits, almost impossible to get fired. Lots of time off and holidays. You won't be working weekends or holidays. Job actually has a pension (all be it, a meager one) that includes your health insurance from day 1 of retirement. If you get in early, a second career is a real possibility. In the end, I would not recommend working here if someone asked. Flex time is great if you have 3 kids and a spouse that makes $200K a year, but living off the salary is a real challenge.

Cons

The pay is horrific for a job that requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree just to test. It's no wonder they can't attract qualified applicants. Also, you're dealing with some difficult people all the time. Like management. The offenders can be difficult, too.
