      Pros

      Co-workers are great. College cares about the students... always trying something different. Some staff go out of their way for students. Director seams to care.

      Cons

      The beginning of the semester can be a challenge, Low pay. Taken for granted... not given the support needed to complete the job. Not happy about using annual time during Christmas and Mardi Gras break.

      Some co-workers are passionate about what they do despite the administrative dis-incentives to do well.

      poor salary range; will preferentially hire adjuncts and non-experienced teachers in order to save money despite the skyrocketing student enrollments.

      Pros

      -friendly co-workers with great energy -lots of very committed, passionate, and caring staff and faculty -wonderful location. Having City Park across the street makes it easy to take a walk during break or after work. Bike paths and transportation easily accessible. -small enough to create meaningful relationships but large enough to have new faces coming through the door every day

      Cons

      -Workers are poorly compensated. So many of them go the extra mile, working on weekends in peak seasons, using money out of their pocket to decorate their offices and make their space welcoming, yet salaries and benefits do not reflect this. -The school is managed completely top-to-bottom. Sweeping changes to departments/offices are made routinely without staff/faculty input, resulting in ill-informed decisions with a lack of coordination, transparency, communication, and employee buy-in. -Delgado is a food desert. There are so few food options with a very limited window of accessibility, and the options that are available are seldom wholesome or nutritious. This affects employees and students alike.
