Nothing to wine about!

Pros

This is the BEST company I have ever worked for! Everyone is so collaborative and works hard to move the business forward. Leadership is approachable and proactive at predicting and solving problems so you don't feel panic reactions, which makes for a great environment. Work-life balance is great, benefits and compensation are definitely fair and better than the competition. Private company- family owned- great culture- and great discounts on awesome wine! A lot of opportunities for growth!!

Cons

There are some growing pains with a company growing so fast- but the pros outweigh the cons by far- and they are so quick to respond and solve any issues that I can't complain.

We at Delicato Family Vineyards couldn’t agree more, and thank you for the wonderful write up. Delicato and the Indelicato Family are so proud of its employees and the culture that we have worked so hard to create. We recognize that with growth comes some growing pains, and like you mentioned, we work proactively and quickly to address and mitigate any issues. It all comes down to a few key words; Communication, Collaboration, Empowerment and Transparency. #UncorkYourPotential at Delicato Family Vineyards.

Mid level Managment

Pros

Delicato is finally transforming into the company it was meant to be after ridding itself of some cancerous management leads and replacing them with professionals worthy of representing the great family who owns this company. Definitely heading in the right direction for growth with a new level of professionalism that previously scared potential new hires away. It truly is a great place to work if you are a passionate wine professional who doesn't want to deal with BIG company politics, but like having a solid base of resources and pleasant colleagues.

Cons

Changing culture and ways of working require both patience and employees to jump in and problem solve, collaborate and see bigger picture opportunities (as well as manage tons of emails!) Sadly, historical Sales Management created negative environment that held back the company internally and externally. Now Delicato is on a new path and employees must be ready to jump in and overcome historical bias and embrace the positive change.

We appreciate your continued support and optimism for Delicato’s future. This is definitely a transition period with expected bumps along the way due to significant growth and an ever-changing marketplace. In fact, we agree on the need for change management and plan to offer training on the topic later this year.

Pros

Family owned, not family run anymore, sad. Good benefits and holidays off. Nothing more good to say. They want me to say more good things for the 20 word minimum, but have nothing else.

Cons

Numerous reviews have been deleted from this site, due to pressure from the HR department at Delicato, this site has now lost credibility. Do not come to this site for the truth on Delicato, it’s a corporate company sight. 5 individuals have left reviews in the last 60 days and they all have been erased....no credibility here.

Delicato Family Vineyards is a family owned and family operated organization. We take enormous pride in the wide variety of roles the Indelicato family holds throughout the organization. Family members are in leadership positions such as CEO and COO. In addition, we have family members who serve as brand ambassadors and work in Transportation, Winemaking, our Customer Service department, and the Tasting Room in Manteca. These family members also serve on the board which makes all major decisions regarding the business. With regard to the comment about the removal of recent reviews: this is simply untrue. Delicato has never removed or had removed any reviews. In fact, Glassdoor controls all postings and rarely removes them, even when extremely negative. Although employers may request the removal of postings, Glassdoor rarely does so, often referencing their commitment to transparency and authenticity.
