      Pros

      perceived experience from other employers, pay that is compentative to industry for the first few years, awesome number of days off per year, nice flexability in working arrangements (e.g. remote from home as long as not abused)

      Cons

      realization that you are only there to make the partners millions of dollars and that they don't care about the employees, egregeous hours, limited bonuses, one of the worst political climates around, most people lose PTO because they are too busy to take it all, extremely hard firm to make partner in

      Pros

      Great graduate job. A perfect place to start a career; lots of training and support towards gaining a professional qualification (paid leave, study materials and tutorials). Good environment to pick up the basics. Young and lively people - plenty of opportunity to network.

      Cons

      Long hours, especially at lower grades. After 3/4 years career progesion is more about getting the support from the right people than about being good at your job. Too many people who don't want to get their hands dirty doing real work but want to take credit for the work you're doing.
