- On joining day, they only provide you with laptop, charger, headset and a laptop lock, NO BAGS WERE GIVEN (not even stated in email that you have to bring your own bag, so helpful?)
- On boarding is on Monday, they expect you to finish 30+ trainings by your own the remaining days of the week and start working the next week. Mind you that not everyone is familiar with the systems used (they have 2 different separate audit systems that is not so user-friendly for new joiners.) Despite of joining during peak period, kindly allocate a few days or one week on-field training for people to easily communicate and get used to the system (at least).
- Job allocation: Super messy. How can you allocate multiple jobs to a newly joined employee (just because they are "seniors") and we have expectations to meet from SG bosses as if we are ready and prepared for this kind of workload... They simply will give you more files to be done and it's been pointed out as a norm. Guess what? We're not getting paid SGD for all the workings, so there's that.
- Coaches: most of the coaches are Filipinos I don't know for what reasons, but since English is not their main language, it is very hard to discuss or share our own problems with them, which leads to no point of having a coach there. They keep on saying please communicate with your coaches as a neutral ground, such a waste of time if nothing is happening even after having discussions with them.
- RTO / WFH: As this department is mainly reporting to SG managers and partners, there are no clear vision of why do we need to be physically in KL office, some of us are not living nearby and morning traffic is getting worse by day. You expect everyone to commute 3 hours back and forth daily but cutting our allowances? The math doesn't add up here (now it is only RM80 monthly from RM200). Our productivity is measured by output and work done, rather than focusing on "being visible" during working hours, with limited space in office.
- Management: The Director is not someone who is from an audit background. I believe that as an auditor you have the flexibility of working but she can't even understand that (since nobody is allowed to swap WFH schedule and no AL to be taken up until June.)
- Salary: The range of salary between colleagues with the same position is too wide. When asked on what basis is the pay is given, they will change topic and avoid from answering. For example, worker A is a degree holder with ongoing ACCA on top of 2 years of working experience, worker A is getting paid RM5,500 monthly. Worker B doesn't have degree but already finished ACCA with 2.5 years of working experience, getting paid RM5,300 monthly. Worker C with degree and ACCA, 2.6 years of working experience, getting paid RM6,000. All three workers are with the same position but A & B are doing more work because of the messed up allocations and C is getting paid more with less workload, so what is being considered and how do they determined each individual salary? We'll never know.
As a conclusion, this department is a __________ (to be filled with your own thoughts.
