Pros

Although our benefits have been reduced over the years, it would be difficult to find another company that provided better benefits.

Cons

Shift work, alternating off days, new sick time policies, working for top executives that have no deep seated loyalty to Delta since they did not grow with the company, but came in from another company only to fill their own bank accounts.

Pros

The pay is fair. I live close to the office so I don't have far to travel. I get free parking and paid vacation. The flight benefits are excellent. The health/dental/vision benefits are great.

Cons

The job can be monotonous and boring. Dealing with the public can be really hard especially because they don't understand a lot of the reasons behind business decisions that the company can make regarding their air travel. Management has taken away some of our personal time useage during a day's work, which makes it harder to take care of any small personal issues that may occur during the work day.

Pros

It is the number one airline and industry leading!

Cons

May need to look at changing some policies, example: In-flight is the only department in Delta Air Lines where if you transfer from a different department you start over in senoirity for bidding purpose. So if I have 11 years with Delta and transfer into in-flight my senoirty drops to my first day of inflight (like starting over) and your pay is cut in half. So with 11 years I am on a 5 year payscale. This is the hardest to except and after speaking with many current flight attendants I have not found out why this happens...the majority say "it is not fair" but not sure why Delta has this policy.
