It's a fun job at times, but it could be better.

Pros

The clients are great to work with, it's a lot of fun to go out with them and do activities. Job allows you a lot of independance and freedoms. Good staff to work with. Decent amount of over time. It's a good 'foot in the door' job.

Cons

The pay could be better (asst manager make $11.50/hr) regular staff makes about $10, I think. Some managers are just unqualified to do their jobs, and still get promoted, because they're friends with somebody higher up. Reliable help gets passed over so it's difficult to advance career. But maybe I'm just a bit bitter.

Pros

I loved the flexible schedule because with school closings and my children getting sick one with asthma, it was great to know that I could work late or come in on a Saturday to make up missed time.

Cons

Delta promotes social workers to a supervisor position without prior experience or lack of better words out of their skill set. Before promoting someone without the necessary tools delta needs to provide proper training
