Pros

- Flexible work schedule - Great pay - Nice facilities

Cons

- Almost non-existent bonus program for employees (with the exception of sales staff & upper level management) -No Loyalty to productive, long term employees - Company does not reward hard working employees with laterally promotion opportunities, opts to promote from the outside. -Company was sold for more than it's worth, thus taking on crippling long-term debt which led to MASSIVE lay offs. - BIG TIME OUT-SOURCER! Company has its employees train workers overseas under the guise that overseas workers will be working alongside US employees, only to go on and lay off US employees after they'd shared all of their knowledge. It does not matter how long you have worked there, Deltek is always looking to "cut costs" i.e. give you the ax! Management will keep you in the office for long hours, demand the most out of its workers only to leave you hanging high & dry after they've sucked your soul dry. AVOID THIS COMPANY!

WORST company I've ever worked for!

Pros

The company allows you to work from home.

Cons

This is the WORST company I've ever worked for! Their suite of products is a mish-mash of no-good products. Engineering is so under-staffed that one wonders what ever gets done. Account Management is only interested in selling to the customer and not taking care of them. Education department has outsourced pretty much everything. Their customer care department is more of a DON'T CARE department, only interested in upselling to clients. Professional services is virtually outsourced to partners. All the company cares about is the revenue - they dont care about the customers nor the employees or products. In the last 5-6 years, what Deltek has done successfully is get rid of all their long-time and most valuable employees. There is no work-life balance; very stressful environment, with layoffs every quarter. Deltek is a sweatshop. The executives set it up to be sold to new investors, cashed out and left. The rest of the employees were chewed up and spat out.

Pros

Very team oriented, Sr management had open door policy and they wanted input to their strategy decision making. Offsites held on a regular basis bringing together the leaders of each functional area to share current activities, strategies and ideas. Created a cohesive environment.

Cons

CEO allowed Sr Managers to build new teams and then quickly changed direction and forced new organization structures creating large amounts of turnover resulting in low productivity and inability to get new releases out the door timely.
