New ownership that does not value human capital & new incompetent leadership
Pros
Was a great place to work for many years, valued human capital, flexible work schedule, great work/life balance, many acquisitions kept the environment exciting with change, all for the good. The leadership was amazing until the recent buyout.
Cons
Company recently was bought by equity investment firm that does not share the same values as the Deltek employees. There have been 4 CFOs in the last 5 years. The Finance department is completely dysfunctional, changing the CFOs has done nothing, they've kept the same incompetent team of people that operate as if it were decades ago. The former CEO, Kevin Parker, left the company in Dec. 2012 and this was one of the worst mistakes the new ownership could have made. Kevin was an incredible leader, visionary and inspiration. Since his departure, a majority of the best talent (both leadership and across the company at all levals) at Deltek quit as well. We are left with poor leadership in very influential positions.
