      Great opportunities and changes for the better on the horizon

      Pros

      Very good equipment and training/event attendance encouraged to sharpen your skills Management willing to invest in dedicated employees Great work/life balance - as long as you get your work done when you are at work Great perks - event tickets, good location, free parking, moving into shiny new office in Fall 2011 Well Living benefits, including seated massages Bonuses every quarter, even in a down economy Great coworkers - teams seem to be dedicated and innovative If your work requires you to attend, there is a great annual user conference Flex work from home policy Casual dress code - jeans are allowed everyday New office building will put all employees on an even playing field - No offices even for the CEO!

      Cons

      Work can be hectic in times of acquisitions and annual user conference, lots of meetings Medical & Benefits seem to be on average, can be expensive if needing serious medical help Deltek is somewhat unknown outside of DC area Could be more cutting-edge, offering employees iPhones, etc.

      Great people (individual contributors) Open communication within the project team Knowledge sharing Benefits package Comfortable working environment Flexibility in hours and rules

      Some managers are playing favorites (obvious to most employees) Appraisal scores are maneuvered so as not to give promotion and merit increases to serious performers

      Pros

      Work at home is great. Always a challenge. Good coworkers that you can count on. Bennifits expected. Flexible hours most of the time.

      Cons

      Remote workers are forgotten. High pressure to meet schedule. At time long hours including early morning or late night meetings because of team members in distant time zones.
