      Short and Sweet... This place sucks!

      Pros

      The only good things that could be said about Deltek is that you have the ability to work from home and the office park is nice.

      Cons

      Where do I start? The list is long and ugly! Monthly lay-offs!!!! The company doesn't have a clue about workforce planning. Executives make decisions based on the last earnings report. If it hits their pockets, lay-offs are a comin'. Employees who have been there 10 years fear for their jobs on a daily basis. There is no communication from management (they don't tell the truth anyway.) This is truly a toxic enviornment!

      Pros

      The Heritage Deltek employees are a joy to work with although they are overworked Ability to work from home at least a few days a week

      Cons

      Management provides absolutely no feedback...one way or the other, then comes up with "deficiencies" during the annual review Blindsided with assignments when already overloaded Cannot trust employees from new acquitions - really need to watch your back Lack of communication within certain groups

      Pros

      Great stepping stone job opportunities. Flexible schedules and telecommuting. Good experience with using multiple systems daily. Valuable exposure into gov't contracting industry.

      Cons

      Weak senior leadership which results in constant turnover at senior level. Lack of overall direction from leadership. Lack of support to implement process improvements and innovative ideas. Negativity permeates at all levels due to lack of confidence in leadership.
