Pros

There are some great and world-class people in this company. If you are lucky enough, you could team with a responsible project manager, good teammates, and a great mentor. There are plenty of opportunities to travel and be at a construction site. You will have opportunities to work in a team with different disciplines. You may have access to the tools that are not available at individual discipline consultant. If you are lucky enough, you could be assigned to some good projects.

Cons

Be aware. This is not a construction company, design-build company or a EPC company. It is what it is... This company does not have procurement staffs, superintendents, or field engineers. As an engineer/designer/architect, prepare to be requested to be at the construction site for long hauls. For no reason, your manager may ask you to be at a construction site five days a week till the end of a project, which can be located anywhere in the U.S. You will also have to work as a procurement specialist before construction starts. If you are unlucky, your project manager can be irresponsible. You will never find your project managers when you need them. However, when you miss your deliverables due to the fact that the managers didn't get back to you, you will get blamed by different levels of managers. Also, your managers, colleagues, and clients may be mad and yell at you. At then end of the day, it is what it is, and mostly you are on your own to get our job done. As senior engineers, you may be frequently asked to violate your professional ethics because your manager or colleague thinks it should be designed in the way that they thought is correct regardless if that violates codes or regulations.

Treated interns well with high pay, activities, and a variety of projects to work on.

Unsure about the place interns should take within the company.
