      There ar no special reasons. It was not very different from working at any of the large restaurant chain. Senior management was very good at informing me of changes and keeping me up to date even though I did not agree with all the new policies. A good perk was providing free meals for management and hourly workers. Their management training program was excellent as was their training of staff level employyees. Also The emphasis on samitation standars, both for food preparation and overall restaurant cleanliness is above industyry standards. Their concerm for customer sevice is also commendable althoug perhaps over - regulated.

      Cons

      Long hours. Unfair promotional practices. Intense upper management involvement. Excessive worload. Insufficient compensation for responsibility and labor involved. Insufficient recognition and rewards for increasing sales and bottom line. I raised our weekly store volume from $12,000 to 21,000 and it was meber mentioned. I had to go on medical leave for almost a year and had to come back as an assistant manager/ I understood that but it was difficult working alongside people whom I had previously supervised. When management positions became available, I was passed over numerous times despite my previous management accomplishments. As a result, I ended up resigning from Denny's.
