You get a very small paycheck.

Cons

Overtime with no pay is expected if you want to meet numbers. Management overloads caseloads and under pays staff. You will not actually help anyone. There will be no justice or help for those who truly need it. MH deputy’s and upper management make this job and company unbearable. This job will drain you physically, mentally, and emotionally and your boss will get mad and resentful that you’re not doing more. If you value your mental health, don’t let it get ruined by working here. Highest caseload and lowest hourly pay for the entire state.
