Pros

Excellent pay. Average sales manager makes 100k a year. Above average 120-160k. They invest in you and train you to be a great leader. I’ve been with them 7 years and am so grateful for taking a risk! I have worked for them in 4 states and 9 stores. They promote off of work ethic not tenure. Great work life balance with plenty of paid vacations. You make friends that turn into family in a positive work environment. Just go to your local furniture row and ask a manager to tell you their story. If you want a career come see us. Consecutive days off like a Monday and Tuesday, or Thursday or Friday not spread out like some retail stores

Cons

You will Work most weekends of the year, but that is expected with retail. Average hours a week worked is 44-47.

Upward Movement and Longevity

Pros

This is one of the few companies I know of where the General Manager started in sales, and the only way to get to the top is to start in sales (or even the warehouse!). There isn't always an upward position available, but when there is all candidates are considered fairly. I have met managers (and higher) that have been with the company for 25 years and more! That's some longevity ... and loyalty.

Cons

As a store Manager or Assistant Manager, the hours and weeks can be long, and if the store is short-staffed then there's even more work to do. Commission sales isn't for everyone, and some stores simply bring in more revenue than other stores.
