As a warehouse person you're garbage. The district managers won't promote you even if you have the best warehouse in the district. If you're not a sales person, and you don't make sales then you'll never be promoted unless some magic happens.
The carrot will dangle in front of you for a long time. As someone who's worked two years here I can safely say that if you grt hired as a warehouse person you should abandon all hope of getting to the sales position. You can have managment experience, you can be amazing at memorization and product knowledge, get millions of customer reviews about how you helped the customer with their problems, you can keep your variance at near perfect bonus levels. In the end, you're a warehouse guy. You're a lowly warehouse man and you can never move up to that entry level position that less qualified people get hired to.
You can have a bachelor's of management, be great with customers, know all the product knowledge, and work extra on your days off. And you'll still be lifting up heavy beds while all the sales people are looking at their phones making 3x more than you. And that's 3 times more than what you make with all your bonuses and extra work that you put in.
There are some few exceptions to what I just said, as some warehouse people do move up. But I think it's due to family, or some other politics.
Also don't expect to have any weekends off, no time with your spouse or family. Forget you even have a family your time belongs to Denver Mattress now.
