Worst company I’ve ever known, too top heavy, overall incredibly toxic

Pros

Nothing at all company wise, lower level employees are (for the most part) lovely people.

Cons

Depressing, run down environment despite ‘recent refurbishments’ - we only just got access to safe drinking water a few months ago (via water cooler - no proof of it actually being safe but doesn’t have bits floating in it or a weird colour like from the normal taps) and had no hot water up until a few weeks ago… hygienic! Incredibly top heavy, employing seemingly made up and pointless roles on ridiculously high salaries The top look after themselves while we’re left at the bottom barely able to scrape by or being able to put food on the table. Management on insane salaries get all expenses paid - maybe 50% (at a push) even work related - while getting rid of valuable, minimum wage staff who have been here for years on made up redundancies. No benefits - holidays and company pension aren’t benefits… No acknowledgments for anything - not even a thanks Offering some staff massive pay increases to stay with the company but turning down small pay increase requests for those already working multiple jobs just to survive Staff working same jobs on completely different rates for no apparent reason Opportunities offered to select staff through complete, outright favouritism Other people from higher ups who simply can’t be bothered to do their own jobs are constantly passing them onto us No accountability from HR, managers or higher ups to any degree - everything is blamed on our department 9 times out of 10 with us left to pick up the pieces and explain on the company’s behalf why there are issues and how they’re being resolved Being made to do a tonne of additional work for absolutely no recognition or respect, if you’re not based in Manchester or on a massive salary you’re just a nobody to them, or so it seems. This is just a small snippet of the incompetency and terrible treatment of this awfully ran company and its higher ups. Worked better when it was family run, now it’s just being ran into the ground at a rapid rate and the majority will be glad to see the back of it to be honest! Even people outside of the company know how horrible of a place it is to work just from word of mouth in surrounding areas, how are you not seeing all of these things? The place has a terrible reputation and for good reason.

A company with a limited future

Pros

I think only management will have good things to say in this section

Cons

A lot of drivers are resigning which is not good to see. It makes you question "what am I still doing here" rumour has it that nearly 15 drivers have left in less than a month now and no improvements or changes have been made?

Pros

A global brand with local focus. Employees can make a difference every day. Ideas are valued.

Cons

A very competitive market which is suffering from some stagnation at the moment.
