Good experience in an entry level postion

Pros

- Working alongside intelligent, hard working individuals. - Great introduction to the inner workings of academia as an entry level employee - Opportunity to practice and perfect laboratory skills

Cons

- The dynamic of the group depends greatly dependent on the PI. Can lead to cutting of hours, lack of mentor ship/guidance, and ineffective completion of projects. - High overhead costs.

Pros

Great atmosphere for a part time position, hours are extremely flexible, and you get to work in a state of the art laboratory. Also, everyone is typically in good spirits. The view from DRI of Reno is incredible.

Cons

From the perspective of a part time hourly worker who is going to college, this job is perfect.
