Pros

Getting a biweekly Paycheck is the only pro.

Cons

As a risk management professional at DB , I've recently seen a mass exodus of talent due to several reasons, forgo of bonus compensation, authoritive management that are making key decisions that ensure a non collobrative working environment, artificial layers of management that add zero value, inexperienced management that don't know or understand risk processes that they are leading, using top tier consulting to design processes and then once they are gone going back to inefficiencies, hiring friends to do risk management with zero experience, inability to execute risk management. I can go on and on.... In terms of values this is the only place that allows a manager with multiple HR complaints on treatment of women, making antisemetic comments, gay comments, demoralizing and treating staff unprofessionally, spending millions on the top consulting firm, works 9-5 and adds zero value, hiring resources that only work 200 - 400 hours a year. Only at DB can someone get away with this. I guess DB allows people that are connected to the top to get away.

Pros

work life balance is amazing, especially if you work in Frankfurt. Even in NYC work life balance is better than in London They tend to get good talent so you will frequently work with bright people and it's a great way to grow.

Cons

Your career is tied to how well your manager likes you. if he packs and leaves, will be hard to advance biggest downside is that HR isn't honest about important topics when relocating and offer zero assistance to acclimate for dependents. They also tell you that they don't offer full or half expat packages, only voluntary expats at AVP level which is not true another big downside is their tech stack. They hire a bunch of incompetent cheap indian labor at support which means if you are a developer or business analyst, you will bang your head against the wall alot indian managers in tech hire indians, despite if candidate is competent or not and have no problem spending thousands sponsoring green cards, it's pretty bad
