I was let go after coming back from speaking at SpringOne without being given a reason. I was originally hired to do API development but when I got in, they did a bait and switch on me and sent me elsewhere to work on payment systems. I was salaried and they said they were moving everyone OFF salary two weeks into the job. I asked around and it turned out I was the only one asked to sign paperwork to move off salary. I helped to bring in a contract with Tmobile worth at least $300K and acted as the initial point of contact and they let me go the very day I was going to meet with them.
I was also hired to do one job at one company and they bait and switched me to another company entirely. When they let me go, everyone instantly stopped talking to me. It was bizarre and cult like. Since then, had people say to me they would never work there again and never suggest anyone to them.
